Ten Weird Laws from All Over

If these are laws that are on the governnment books, it tends to make one wonder why the city fathers thought it necessary to have them there in the first place...

Florida: Unmarried women who parachute on Sundays can be jailed.
What? I suppose they think/thought that they should be out looking for a husband? Maybe it was a man that made them consider jumping out of that plane without a parachute…

Kentucky: It is illegal to carry a concealed weapon over 6 feet long.
Wouldn't that be rather difficult to do anyway? Especially difficult if the person was not 6 feet tall to begin with…

Vermont: Women must get written permission from their husbands to wear false teeth.
Well, there are at least two ways to go with commentary on that…and I don't feel especially lucky…

Alabama: It is illegal to drive while wearing a blind fold…
Sometimes I think some people would driver better blindfolded.

Ohio: It is illegal to get a fish drunk.
Okay…This opens up a whole new set of questions...I've heard of drinking like a fish so where does this place the fish in the scheme of things? How do fish act when they are drunk? Can a fish even get drunk?

Miami: It is illegal to skateboard in a police station.
Unless you are delivering doughnuts or pizza…

London: It is illegal to hail a taxi if you have the plague.
"Really…these black dots are just from cleaning my chimney."

London: It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament.
I wonder what they would do to the unfortunate person that did. It certainly couldn't be a capital offense. (The real reason is that Parliament is considered a royal residence and in days of yore, deaths in royal palaces were regarded as suspicious.)

San Salvador: Drunk drivers can be sentenced to death by firing squad.
    Nothing funny about drunk driving…
