Russell Conwell, the author was asked to give a speech to the 10 year reunion of his Civil War toops. This story is the result of his speech writing.

The author give this speech over 6,000 times, traveling from city to city. With the proceeds he would pay for his room, board and train fare. The remainder he would sent back to Temple University. These funds put nearly 2,000 students through college.

People, more often than not, overlook riches in their own back yard. Always running hither and yon looking for riches.

The sad fact is that most people undervalue what they know. They think of themselves as ordinary, and therefore are willing to accept ordinary incomes and outcomes. When people are made aware of the value of what they know, they go on to be more successful.

Albert Einstein said, "To continually do the same thing and expect different results is madness." When people change their negative belief mind-set to one of possibility thinking, they begin to see opportunities everywhere. So many people go through life with a seeming cloud of negativity over them when often they are standing but a few feet away from limitless wealth, success or wonderful things.

Has this ever happened to you? You have a wonderful idea but no way to implement it so you permanently shelve it as a failure? Instead, why not think of it as an idea whose time was just not right.
